. The 13th WHRCF Overview

  - Period: 4-7 October 2023

  - Venue: Kimdaejung Convention Center, Gwangju, Republic of Korea

  - Program: 30+ sessions and events (Official Events, Plenary Session, Thematic Sessions, Network Sessions, Special Sessions, Human Rights Training

    Sessions, Tours & Side Events)

  - Format: Hybrid (Onsite & Online)

  - Hosts: Gwangju Metropolitan City, UN Human Rights, UNESCO, National Human Rights Commission of Korea, Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education

  - Organizers: Gwangju International Center, UCLG Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights, Raoul Wallenberg Institute of 

    Human Rights and Humanitarian Law

  - Partners: 40+ local and international partners

. Organizing a Session at the 13th WHRCF

Every session organizer will be required to submit a session proposal to the Secretariat no later than April before the overall program is finalized.


 1. Accepted Sessions

The organizer of a session which has been confirmed with existing partners is expected to submit a session proposal directly to the Secretariat. The session proposal form will be shared individually via email.

 2. Call for Sessions

We are opening a Call for Sessions to expand our partnerships and invite various international organizations, academia, and CSOs interested in participating in the Forum. As a session organizer, you will be required to mobilize your own resources and take on responsibilities involved with organizing a session. The Call for Sessions will be open in late March.

* The announcement along with detailed information will be made on the WHRCF website.
